Dear Southlake Neighbors, Our 2021 on-line annual meeting is set for April 20 at 6:30 PM. Register in advance for the meeting: https://tinyurl.com/274aj4a6 After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. Please think about any questions you would like answered in advance of the meeting. The questions will be researched by the appropriate parties, read that night, and answered. Please submit what you would like addressed to spanas@cmacommunities.com. I would like to take a moment in this newsletter and our annual meeting to recognize our board members who have completed two three-year terms and are returning to the happy life of being a Southlake resident. We will certainly miss these two individuals and the work they have done for Southlake. Win Powell, Vice-President and Chairman of the Nominating Committee: Win has been the “voice of reason” on our board for six years. He can always be depended on to remind us of what is best for our residents. Also, because the board and our committees are all volunteers, Win is a master of finding and recruiting new talent for these positions. Marsha Troy, Treasurer: Marsha has been an SRA board member for 5 years. She was Secretary for 1 year and Treasurer for 4 years. With her efforts, all the annual assessments were collected in 2018 and 2019. Only 2 accounts were outstanding at the end of 2020. Marsha always worked to keep SRA on budget. At the annual meeting we will reveal the results of the voting for the 2021-22 Board of Directors and how our Association voted on pursuing a sidewalk or walking path along Southlake Parkway. Also, we will also hear from our new Association manager, CMA and bring you up to date on the Board of Director’s plans for making Southlake the best neighborhood in Hoover. Our new landscaping contractor, SpyGrass Innovations, has begun work on Southlake Parkway and Lakeview Drive. As you know we have many dead trees to remove on the Parkway, so once that is complete spring flower and sod installation will proceed. Also, we will be reinstalling seasonal flowers at the entrance to The Crest and Lakeridge/Cove. Thank you to the Crest, Lakeridge and Cove residents who helped to maintain these areas when SRA was unable to do so over the past five (5) years. Thirteen (13) of our residents have still not paid their 2021 assessments. This money allows SRA to pay for the maintenance along Southlake Parkway and Lakeview Drive. If you have not paid you should have received a demand letter from CMA. Additional collection efforts with associated costs will follow. Finally, thanks to everyone for working to make Southlake the best place to live, work and enjoy life! Sincerely,
