Welcome to 2021!
We know you are receiving this January newsletter at the beginning of Feburary, but we have every intention of making this e-mail newsletter a monthly event. Thank you to everyone who takes the time address any questions, comments, or concerns by contacting us at southlakedirectors@gmail.com. We read all of your emails and try our best to respond within a day. In this month’s letter we want to highlight neighborhood cleanup efforts, our continuing transition to a new association manager and our landscaping plans for early 2021.
As we mentioned last month, the City of Hoover will only pick up large items such as limbs and brush, only if they are left there by individual homeowners or a group of homeowners cleaning up the neighborhood common area. Recently, the Crest homeowners, led by President Gary Stevens, cleaned up storm debris from Crest entrance on Southlake Parkway. The team piled the debris near the Parkway curb and the City picked it up within the week. Your neighborhood can do something similar. When you are ready for pick-up, please request that by contacting Hoover Public Works at myhooverconnect@hooveralabama.gov .
CMA took over as the association manager on January 1, 2021 for both Southlake Residential Association and Southlake Business Association. CMA provides assessment collection, accounts payable, official record storage, annual budget preparation, regular property inspections, negotiation of contracts, common area and amenities management, along with enforcement of the Association’s rules, regulations, and policies. Please feel free to contact CMA with any questions:
Stephanie Panagiotides 205-517-8351 or spanagiotides@cmacommunities.com
You may also contact Stephanie’s supervisor, Sarah Haney at 205-879-9505 or shaney@cmacommunities.com
Our CMA manager, Stephanie Panagiotides is now advertising for bids for landscape and sprinkler system maintenance contractors. We plan to have a single contractor for maintenance on the Parkway and all the neighborhoods, except for the Townhomes. We hope to have the new contractor in place by March 1 with a priority to improve our community’s appearance at the Valleydale Road entrance and on Southlake Parkway.
Please note that if you are selling or refinancing your home, make sure that your real estate agent and closing attorney are aware that they are to contact CMA for all closing letters. Requests can be made at www.condocerts.com. If you are experiencing an after-hours common area property emergency that cannot wait until the next business day, please call 205-879-9500 and follow the prompts to be connected to our answering service. A licensed manager is always on- call and will be glad to assist.
Please help us all to make 2021 a great year and Southlake the best place to live in Hoover.
