Dear Friends and Neighbors: New in this month’s newsletter is Thanksgiving greetings, an update on our management transition to Community Management Associates (CMA), and a special offer from one of our Southlake restaurants. What a year 2020 has been! We may find it hard to give thanks given everything that has happened. However, this reminds me that our first national Thanksgiving was proclaimed by President Abraham Lincoln in October 1863 in the midst of the Civil War. Even at that difficult time, Lincoln acknowledged that “we have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven…” There is still nothing like being home for holidays in a special place like Southlake. Please join me and your neighbors in giving thanks for what we have and looking forward to a better 2021. Last month, I told you about our Board of Director’s decision to transition to a new management support company, CMA. That transition has begun, and you should be receiving an information letter from them in early December along with the regular annual assessment invoice. I’m also happy to report that the Board decided to not increase assessments for 2021. In 2021, we plan to begin placing more emphasis on the maintenance along Southlake Parkway and Lake Valley Drive. Also, working with CMA, we will improve the enforcement of our Covenants so that all of our properties will present the Southlake image we all want. Finally, Jefferson’s Restaurant in Southlake Village is under new management. Did you know they offer Holiday Party Trays? You don’t even need to leave your car…see curbside pickup at www.jeffersons.com. Another fun fact is that they are now open on Sundays plus kids eat free on Sunday. Jefferson’s Loves Southlake so FREE Fried Pickle Appetizer or Peanut Butter Pie Dessert when you mention to your server that you saw this in the Southlake Newsletter! Sincerely,
